Samarachi Koddi is another of Goa’s seasonal specials, primarily consumed during the monsoon season when fresh seafood is not readily available. The use of fresh and dried shrimp, mango and freshly roasted ingredients give this curry a very unique flavour that will have you coming back for second and third helpings!




Chillies, coriander, Pepper, Nutmeg, Cloves, cummin seeds, Coconut , Turmeric, Ginger, garlic, etc.


For ½ kg Prawns (¼ kg dry + ¼ kg fresh) – clean, apply salt and keep aside. 1 medium size Coconut, grind and squeeze out the Milk (Thick Milk), grind once again and squeeze out the Milk (Thin Milk) and keep both separately. Soak little Tamarind in water, make pulp and keep aside. Cut 4 Onions finely saute in oil till light brown, add Prawns and saute for 5 minutes. Add Tamarind Pulp, Bimblees, pieces of Dry Mango, Jaggery, thin milk and 50 gms of Goa2gulf Samarachi Codi (Curry) Masala and boil for 2 minutes and add Thick Milk, Salt to taste and Boil.
