The Caldine Curry is a yellow non spicy Goan curry, its usually made with fish, but some people make it with prawns as well as vegetables. But the original caldine curry is made with any fleshy fish. Let’s take a look at what goes into making an authentic Goan caldine.
Mix spices, Coriander, pepper, cummin seeds, turmeric, etc
For ¼ kg cauliflower / Tendlim / Pumpkin – Add 250 gms Prawns, Add 1 ½ Tablespoon of Goa2Gulf Goan Caldin Masala, 2 Green Chillies, 2 Large Onions, a piece of Ginger, 6 flakes pf Garlic, 1 tablespoon Sugar, 5 gms Tamarind and 1 large Coconut. Grind all to a fine Paste, Saute this mixture in 2 Tablespoon of Oil till Mixture leaves the side of the pan. Add 2 cups of water and bring to boil. Add previously boiled Vegetables and Prawns and Salt to taste
